RG+ and HP2 Polymeric Sands Need a Shower!
Techniseal® reminds you to always set your nozzle to the «SHOWER» mode when wetting RG+ and HP2 Polymeric Sands. Some installers still wet Polymeric Sand using the «MIST» mode, which can lead to the formation of polymeric haze. This haze is a greyish or whitish residue that appears on the paved surface. RG+ and HP2 are FAST SETTING Polymeric Sands and they need plenty of water in a short period of time, this is why it is imperative to always wet using the «SHOWER» mode.
The principle is simple: a nozzle set to the «MIST» mode does not allow the joints to be sufficiently showered. If RG+ and HP2 Polymeric Sands are not sufficiently showered during installation, the first heavy rain after installation could wash out and activate dry polymers on the pavers, resulting in surface haze. Before installing Polymeric Sand, always read the directions on the bag or on the website at techniseal.com.

TIP: Use a leaf blower after the final wetting to push standing water and any remaining residue off the low areas of textured pavers.
